As part of signing up with Dubsado Payments, you’ll be prompted to provide information about your business. One specific piece of information that Stripe requires is your Type of business.
Depending on your country, you may see slightly different options, but most countries will provide the option to select either Individual or Company.
You’ll most likely select Individual or Individual / Sole Trader if any of the following apply to you:
Your business is new and you are not registered with your local government
You are a sole proprietor outside of the United States
You’ll most likely select Company if you consider your business as one of the following:
Sole proprietor (if your business location is in the United States)
LLC
Partnership
Corporation
Updating your business type
After completing Stripe’s onboarding, you can edit your business information. However, keep in mind that editing is only allowed for verified Stripe accounts.
To edit your business type:
Go to your Stripe Dashboard.
Click on the Settings gear icon.
Under Business settings, click Tax details.
Choose your new business type and then click Update.
