Embedding a Dubsado scheduler on your website

How to share a scheduler publicly using a direct link or embed code for your website.

Written by Trevor

Share your scheduler publicly so potential clients can book with you directly from your website or a shared link.

Getting the public link and embed code

You can share any scheduler template as a public link or as embeddable code for your website. Both options are available from inside the scheduler builder.

  1. Navigate to Events ➔ Scheduler Templates.

  2. Open the scheduler template you want to share.

  3. Click the Share icon (connected dots) in the scheduler builder toolbar.

  4. A popover appears with two options:

    • Under Public Link, click Copy Link to copy the direct URL to your clipboard.

    • Under Embed Code, click Copy Code to copy the HTML embed snippet to your clipboard.

Embedding the scheduler on your website

The embed code places the scheduler directly on a page of your website, so visitors can book without leaving your site. After copying the embed code, paste it into a custom code or HTML block in your website builder. Look for a "custom code," "HTML," or "embed" option in your builder's editor.

Sharing the public link

The public link opens the scheduler on its own page hosted by Dubsado. It's useful when you don't have a website, or when you want to share the scheduler through other channels such as:

  • Social media profiles or posts

  • Email signatures

  • A button or hyperlink on your website

Before sharing a scheduler publicly, connect a lead capture form to the scheduler template as the additional form. This ensures new projects are created in Dubsado when clients book.

Public link vs. project scheduler

The public link is for attracting new clients from outside Dubsado. For clients who are already in a project, send a scheduler invite from their project or include a scheduler step in a flow instead.

FAQ

Can I share a group scheduler template the same way?

Yes. Navigate to Events ➔ Group Templates and open the group scheduler template you want to share. Click the Share icon, then use the same Public Link and Embed Code options.

Why would I use the embed code instead of the public link?

The embed code displays the scheduler inline on your website page, so visitors can book without navigating away. The public link opens the scheduler on its own page, which works better for sharing through email or social media.

Can I use the public link in an email template sent through a flow?

The public link is designed for sharing outside of Dubsado. For existing clients, send a scheduler invite from their project or add a scheduler step in a flow instead.
