Our trial has no time limit!
Instead, it is based on the number of clients. Once you hit three (3) clients, you can decide to subscribe and continue on with us... we sure hope you do!
What is a client?
In Dubsado, a client is your main point of contact on a project. Each project you create is associated with only one client, but you can have multiple projects with the same client! That means you can actually create as many projects as you'd like with your three trial clients.
The term "client" in Dubsado does not necessarily mean a paying client. You can track whether a project is a lead or a booked job using project statuses.
For the purposes of the trial, one client = one entry in the address book.
You can see how many clients you have by going to Utilities >> Address Book. To get the most out of your trial, we highly recommend checking out our article on projects and clients!
Take advantage of the Sample Client!
When you first sign up, you'll notice your address book already has one entry... the Sample Client! This is actually a bonus client that is great for test driving your account.
We recommend editing the Sample Client profile to give it your own name and email address. That way, you can have yourself in the address book as a client for testing without taking up one of your three trial clients!
Go to Utilities >> Address Book.
Click on the Sample Client to open the client profile.
Change the first name, last name, and email to your own information.
Click Save & Close.
Now you can use the Sample Project on the Projects page for testing, or create a new project and select yourself as the client.
If I delete a client from the address book, will I get a client back on my trial?
No. Deleting a client profile will not reset the count on your trial clients.
