Collect leads with a form

If you want potential clients to flow directly into Dubsado without any manual data entry, a lead capture form is the way to go. Once it's set up, anyone who fills out your form automatically becomes a contact in your system with a project folder ready to go.

What's a lead capture form?

A lead capture form is a public form you can share on your website, in your social media bio, or anywhere else people might inquire about your services. When someone fills it out, Dubsado automatically creates a contact record (if their email address isn’t already saved in your Contacts) and a new project for them. From there, you can send them a proposal, schedule a consultation, or start your workflow—whatever your process calls for.

Create your lead capture form

  1. Click Forms in the main menu.

  2. Click New Form Template in the top left, select Lead capture, then Create Template.

  3. Give your form a title, and use the drag-and-drop builder to add fields. You must include these three required fields: First Name, Last Name, and Email Address. These fields are needed to create the new Contact when the form is submitted.

  4. Add any other questions you want to ask new leads, like project budget, timeline, how they heard about you, service they're interested in, etc. The more information you collect upfront, the better prepared you'll be for your first conversation.

  5. Make sure to save your changes by clicking Save form in the top right.

Share your form

  1. Click the Sharing tab in the form builder.

  2. Copy the embed code to add the form directly to your website (works with Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, and most other website platforms), or copy the direct link to share anywhere—social media bios, email signatures, text messages, or anywhere else potential clients might find you.

Once your form is live, every submission will create a new project in Dubsado automatically. You'll get a notification each time someone fills it out, so you can follow up quickly and keep your sales process moving.
