Customize the notifications you receive and stay informed about important activity in your Dubsado workspace.
Accessing notification settings
To manage your notification preferences:
Click your name in the bottom left corner of the page.
Select Settings.
Click Notifications under Account settings.
Notification email
At the top of the notification settings page, you can set your notification email. This is the email address where Dubsado sends your notification emails.
Your notification email can be any email address you choose β it does not need to match your Dubsado login email, your connected email account, or your brand email.
By default, notifications are sent to your login email. If you choose to use a different email, make sure to click Save after updating your notification email.
Configuring notification preferences
Below the notification email setting, you can configure which notifications you receive and how you receive them.
Each notification type has:
A master toggle on the left side that turns the notification on or off entirely (including in-app notifications in the Updates panel)
Email and Web browser options on the right side that let you choose your preferred delivery method
You can enable email notifications, web browser notifications, both, or neither for each notification type.
If you enable web browser notifications, make sure your browser settings allow notifications from Dubsado.
Available notification types
You can configure notifications for the following events:
Workflow action needs approval
Project assigned to me
Task assigned to me
Contract signed
Payment received
Automatic payment failed
Form completed
Form draft saved
Lead capture form completed
Appointment booked
Appointment rescheduled
Appointment canceled
Viewing notifications in the updates panel
When you receive a notification, it appears in the Updates panel. Click Updates in the left navigation menu to expand the panel.
You can access it from any page without navigating away from your current view.
The number of unread notifications displays next to Updates in the navigation menu.
Filtering updates
At the top of the Updates panel, you can toggle between viewing All updates or only your Unread updates.
Update details
Each update displays:
The client associated with the update
The item that was completed (form, contract, payment, etc.)
The project the item is associated with
The date the notification occurred
Taking action from the updates panel
From the Updates panel, you can:
Click on any update to navigate directly to that item in Dubsado
Click the checkmark next to an update to mark it as read, or click the circle icon next to an update to mark it as unread.
Click the bell icon next to an update to turn off that type of notification entirely
Click the checkmark at the top of the panel to mark all updates as read
Click the gear icon at the top of the panel to go directly to your notification settings
Notes on notification settings
Each user configures their notification settings independently. If you have team members in your account, they will need to set up their own notification preferences.
Additionally, notification settings are configured on a per-workspace basis. If you are part of more than one Dubsado workspace, you will need to customize your notification settings in each workspace separately.
