A payment is considered an international payment if a client pays you with a currency that's different from your domestic currency. When you use Dubsado Payments, your domestic currency is based on the country and currency you set from Invoicing ➔ Payment settings or Settings ➔ Payments.
Your international clients see prices on your Dubsado invoice based on your default settings from Invoicing ➔ Payment settings or Settings ➔ Payments. This holds true for all Dubsado invoices, whether or not you're using Dubsado Payments or another payment processor.
For example, if your country is set to the United States and your client is in France, your client will see the Dubsado invoice in USD, not EUR. Your client will pay in EUR based on the exchange rate at the time of the transaction, and you'll receive the funds in USD. Your client's credit card may separately add a foreign transaction fee or a currency conversion fee, which occurs outside of Dubsado. Some credit cards charge this fee, while others waive it as a perk, so your clients should check with their card or bank's help center to find out.
