Already telling people about Dubsado? You might as well get paid for it. Joining takes about a minute, and you get a referral link and a matching promo code in one step.
Who can join
Anyone with a Dubsado account can join, including free trials and team members who aren't the workspace owner. Each person on a team gets their own link, code and payouts.
Open the affiliate program
The affiliate program opens from the workspace and account menu.
Click your workspace logo in the top left corner of your screen.
Click Become an affiliate.
If you were an affiliate before October 20th, you've already been moved over. You'll see Affiliate dashboard in this menu instead, and you can skip to Track your referrals and get paid.
Create your share link
Your share link and your promo code are created together.
On the affiliate program page, click Become an Affiliate.
In Create a share link, type the ending for your link after refer.dubsado.com/. Use 3 to 40 letters or numbers, with no spaces, dashes or symbols.
Wait for the check to finish. A green Available means you can use it. A red Unavailable means someone else has it, so try another.
Click Save Link.
Your affiliate dashboard opens with your Referral Link and Promo Code ready to copy.
Your promo code is always the same as the end of your link. If your link is refer.dubsado.com/janedesigns, your code is janedesigns.
By clicking Become an Affiliate, you agree to the affiliate terms and conditions.
Share your link or code
You have two ways to refer someone:
Referral link. Your referral's discount is applied automatically when they subscribe. They don't need to type anything.
Promo code. Your referral enters the code at checkout when they choose a paid plan.
Use whichever suits the channel: links work well in newsletters, posts and DMs, and codes work well on podcasts and in videos. Need graphics? Your dashboard links to the affiliate toolkit, with graphics, content ideas and templates for Instagram, email and blogs.
What your referrals get
Anyone who signs up through your link or code gets 20% off their first month or first year of a paid plan (30% off for Partner and Expert partner referrals). They can start with a free trial first.
Your link never expires. Once someone clicks it, we remember them for 90 days, so they can take their time before starting a trial.
Edit your share link
You can change the ending of your link from your affiliate dashboard.
On your affiliate dashboard, click the pencil icon next to your Referral Link.
Type a new ending and wait for Available.
Click Save changes.
Changing your link also changes your promo code. Your old link and old code stop working right away, so update anywhere you've shared them. Your click history carries over. You can change your link up to 3 times an hour.
FAQ
Do I need to be the workspace owner?
No. Anyone with a Dubsado account can join, including team members and free trials. Each person has their own link, code and payouts.
Can I use my own promo code?
No. Affiliates can't use their own code or link on their own subscription.
Does my referral need to type the code if they used my link?
No. When they choose a paid plan, the discount appears automatically as a line item at checkout.
Can a referral use my discount and a sale coupon together?
Yes. A sale coupon stacks with a referral discount. Two 20% discounts give 36% off in total, because the second applies to the already-reduced price.
Can a referral use two affiliate codes, or a code plus a link?
No. Only one affiliate discount applies per account. If someone joined through a referral link and types an affiliate code, they'll see a message explaining that they already have a referral discount.
Does the discount apply to renewals?
No. Referral discounts apply to the first paid subscription only. An account that has already used a referral discount can't use another affiliate code.
