Use the Events tab in the Dubsado mobile app to get a bird’s eye view of all your Dubsado project dates, appointments, and internal events - right from your phone!

Events tab overview

To access the Events tab, tap Events from the main navigation bar at the bottom of your screen. When you first enter the Events tab, today’s date is displayed by default.

At the top of the page, the current week is displayed. You can scroll left or right to view past or future weeks. Or, use the arrows at the top of the page to view past or future months.

Days that have at least one event are denoted by a dot within the weekly viewer at the top of the page. No dot indicates that there aren’t any events that day.

All events are listed chronologically. You can scroll down to view additional or upcoming events within the week you’re viewing. Tapping a day from the weekly viewer will automatically scroll your view down to that day’s events.

Quick actions in the Events tab

In the bottom right corner of your screen, you can tap the plus (+) icon to quickly create a new project or a new internal event.

Creating a new project this way defaults to using the current date as the project date, while creating a new internal event defaults to using the current date and time as the date and time for the internal event.

The date and time can be updating while adding the details to your new project or internal event.

Event types

The Events tab displays three types of events:

  • Projects

  • Appointments

  • Internal events

The event’s type is listed at the top of each card, followed by its time frame. Below the event type and the time frame, the additional information displayed depends on the type of event:

  • Project dates listed in the Events tab show the project title, followed by the client’s name.

  • Appointments and internal events both show the event’s title, followed by the project name (if the event is associated with a project).

Tapping on a project will immediately open that project, where you’ll land on the Info tab.

Tapping on an appointment or internal event allows you take additional actions; read on to see the additional actions you can take for each event type.

Appointment actions

When you tap on an appointment from the Events tab, the full event details appear. Here, you can:

  • Tap the appointment location field to open your mobile device’s application for the given information type. You can also tap the green button at the bottom of the card.

    • If the appointment was booked with Zoom enabled, tap Zoom to open the Zoom app.

    • If the appointment was booked with Google Meet enabled, tap Google Meet to open the Google Meet app.

    • If your appointment has a physical address in its Location field, tap the address to open your device’s native maps application to get directions.

    • If no information is present in the appointment’s Location field and your client’s phone number is saved in their address book entry, tap the phone number to call the client.

  • Tap the vertical three dots icon on the event details card to access quick action options. You can tap:

    • Invite client to reschedule to open a new email message with a link to reschedule the booked appointment.

    • Go to project to open the project’s Scheduling tab.

    • Reschedule for client to open the scheduler and reschedule on the client’s behalf.

    • Edit to manually adjust the booked appointment’s date, time, availability, project, location, and description.

      • Manually adjusting an appointment’s date or time automatically sends the client the Appointment Rescheduled email which will contain the new date and/or time.

      • Adjusting other details such as the availability, project, or location does not automatically send the client an email.

    • Cancel appointment to provide a cancellation reason and cancel the appointment.

Internal event actions

When you tap on an internal event from the Events tab, the full event details appear.

  • If the internal event has a location saved or video conferencing enabled, you can:

    • Tap the address to open your device’s native maps application

    • Tap the video conferencing link to join the video call.

  • You can also tap the three dots icon for additional options. You can:

    • Tap Go to project to open the project’s Scheduling tab.

    • Tap Edit to manually adjust the internal event’s date, time, availability, project, location, and description.

    • Tap Delete the internal event to delete the event.

Ongoing projects

If a project date is set to a date range, the project is considered an ongoing project.

To differentiate the date range from a singular project date, projects with a date range are shown on the Events tab under a condensed card.

Tap the condensed card to view the project(s) that span the given date.

FAQ

Does the Events tab show events from my connected external calendar, payment plan due dates, or tasks with due dates?

Currently, the Events tab does not show external events, payment plan due dates or tasks with due dates. Open your external calendar outside of the Dubsado mobile app to view your external events, and log in to Dubsado’s desktop site to view payment plan due dates and tasks with due dates.
