Stay on top of your client communication with Dubsado mobile app! Having to send an email from a separate email app on your mobile device is a thing of the past.

Project emails overview

Just like Dubsado’s desktop application, sending and receiving emails in the Dubsado mobile app uses your connected external email account. Emails sent from the Dubsado mobile app will be sent from your email account, and emails received will appear within Dubsado and within your external email inbox.

Keep in mind that emails can only be forwarded into Dubsado if they are sent from an email that’s saved in your Dubsado address book.

To make changes to your email settings, log in to Dubsado’s desktop site and navigate to Settings ➔ Emails.

The general inbox isn’t ready quite yet - but will be added with future updates!

For now, if you receive an email that isn’t a part of an existing thread, you can log in to Dubsado on desktop to assign that email to the proper project by clicking the envelope icon at the top of the page. Then, that email can be viewed and replied to within the mobile app.

Emails tab

To view the emails associated with a project, tap a project from the main Projects list. Then, tap the Emails tab.

Here, you can view all emails that have been sent and received within this project. You can also compose a new email by tapping Compose in the top right of your screen.

Within the list of emails, each entry will display the client’s name, the subject line of the email, a preview of the message, and the time or date the message was sent.

Send a new email

Tap Compose to begin writing a new email.

Within the mobile app, the client associated with the project will automatically be set as the primary recipient - just like on Dubsado’s desktop application. However, unlike the desktop app, you won’t be able to remove the primary client from the email.

In the email composition window, you can:

  1. Tap Cc to add a Cc recipient. You can add as many Cc’s as you like!

  2. Tap Add subject to add a subject line.

  3. Tap Write a message to compose the body of your email.

  4. Tap the Plus (+) button to add images, files, or project links.

By default, your Dubsado email signature will be included on email sent via the mobile app. Your email signature is denoted by placeholder text, so that you can see where it will appear in the final sent message. To make changes to your Dubsado email signature, log in to Dubsado on desktop and head to Templates ➔ Canned Emails ➔ Signature

Once you’re happy with your email, tap the green Send button in the bottom right corner of your screen to send your email!
