The Dubsado mobile app enables you to take a variety of actions with your workflows while on the go, including including editing emails before they’re sent, pausing and unpausing workflows, checking off to-dos, approving actions, skipping actions, deleting actions, and forcing actions to fire immediately.

Workflows tab overview

To access the workflows tab, pick a project from the main Projects page, scroll through the tabs at the top of your screen, and tap Workflows.

The workflows tab displays all workflows that have been applied to the project, along with their current status. The title of each workflow is bolded at the top of the card, and the date it was applied is listed below.

Each card also shows the three dots (…) icon in the bottom right corner. Tap this icon and select Delete to remove the workflow from the project.

Workflow statuses

Workflows can have one of three statuses:

  • In progress: the workflow is currently active and has actions that have not yet been automatically completed, actions that require approval, or to-dos that not been checked off.

  • Paused: the workflow is currently inactive and additional actions will not occur automatically unless the workflow is unpaused.

  • Completed: all workflow actions have been completed or marked as completed.

Managing workflows

Tap any workflow listed in the workflows tab to view it. Actions that have already been completed are displayed with a green checkmark next to them, while actions that have yet to be completed are denoted by a clock icon.

When viewing a workflow, you can:

  1. Tap the circle next to a to-do to mark that you have completed it.

  2. Tap Approve on any action that is set to require your approval. Doing so will allow that action to fire automatically, according to its trigger. You can tap Approve on an action at any time.

  3. Tap the three dots (…) icon next to an action to see the action’s options. You can:

    1. Tap Skip and mark complete to mark the action as completed without actually executing the action. The workflow then proceeds as though the action did occur.

    2. Tap Force now to fire the action immediately, regardless of its trigger condition.

    3. Tap Edit email if the action is set to send an email. If an action isn’t set to send an email, you won’t see this option.

      1. When editing a workflow email, make sure to tap Save after making changes. Your updated email will then send according to the workflow action’s trigger.

    4. Tap Delete to remove the action from the workflow.

  4. Tap the vertical three dots in the top right corner of the screen to pause an in-progress workflow, or to resume a paused workflow.

Other workflow actions

The Dubsado mobile app is a companion app, built to enable users to take quick action while away from their laptop or desktop computer. With that in mind, there are few workflow options that the Dubsado mobile app doesn’t support.

Log in to Dubsado’s desktop site to do the following:

  • Reorder workflow actions

  • Add new actions

  • View the workflow overview

If you’re in a bind, you can always log in to the desktop site using your mobile device’s web browser.
