Reuse an existing scheduler template as the starting point for a new one, or remove a template you no longer need. This guide covers both actions — and explains what happens to appointments clients have already booked when you delete a template.
Duplicate a scheduler template
Duplicating is the fastest way to create a new template that is nearly identical to one you already have — for example, a 30-minute and a 60-minute version of the same consultation, or the same appointment type configured for two different brands.
To duplicate a template:
Navigate to Events ➔ Scheduler Templates.
Open the template you want to copy.
In the scheduler builder toolbar, click Duplicate (copy icon).
A copy is created with every setting carried over from the original — the Details, Availability, and Booking Page settings on the Basic tab, plus all of the Advanced tab settings (limits, form, payment, reminders, invitation and confirmation emails, and redirect URL). Open the copy and adjust whatever differs, starting with the title. Your changes save automatically.
Duplicating copies a template's configuration only. It does not copy any appointments booked through the original, and the copy gets its own public link and embed code — so update wherever you share the new template.
If you are building a template from scratch instead of copying one, see the guide on creating a scheduler template.
Delete a scheduler template
To delete a template:
Navigate to Events ➔ Scheduler Templates.
Open the template you want to remove.
In the scheduler builder toolbar, click Delete (trash icon).
A confirmation dialog appears. Confirm to permanently delete the template.
Deleting a scheduler template removes it from your available templates, but it does not affect appointments that were already booked through it. Those appointments stay on your calendar and remain attached to their projects, and your clients keep their bookings. Deletion is permanent — a deleted template cannot be recovered, so if you might use it again later, duplicate it first or leave it in place rather than deleting it.
FAQ
Will deleting a template cancel appointments clients already booked?
No. Deleting a scheduler template only removes the template itself. Any appointments booked through it remain on your calendar and attached to their projects, and your clients keep their existing bookings. Deleting a template simply stops it from being used for new bookings.
What settings carry over when I duplicate a template?
All of them — event details, availability (both weekly and date-specific hours), booking page settings, and every Advanced tab setting (limits, form, payment, reminders, invitation and confirmation emails, and the redirect URL). The duplicate gets its own public link and embed code.
Can I recover a deleted scheduler template?
No. Deletion is permanent. If you think you may need the template again, duplicate it first or leave it unused rather than deleting it.
