Your email signature lives in one place in Dubsado and drops into any email through a single smart field. Set it up once, and it appears automatically wherever you add it. This article covers where to build your signature, how to style it, and how to insert it into your email templates.
Edit your email signature
Set up your email signature from Settings ➔ Emails, or Messages ➔ Settings. Both paths lead to the same Emails settings page. Scroll to the Email Signature section and build your signature in the editor.
Only Admin and Owner roles can access the Emails settings page.
Your email signature is set once for your entire workspace, so there's no separate signature per team member. Whatever you build here applies everywhere you insert the signature smart field.
When you're done making changes, click Save. The Save button activates once you've edited the signature.
Add an image or logo
To add an image or logo to your signature, click the image button in the signature editor toolbar and select your file.
Add HTML
If you'd rather write or paste your signature as HTML, click the Toggle HTML view button (the < > icon) in the editor toolbar. This switches the editor into a code view where you can paste or edit raw HTML. Click the Toggle HTML view button again to return to the visual editor, then click Save.
Use HTML view if you're pasting in a signature built with a signature generator or another tool. After pasting your code, toggle back to the visual editor to confirm it looks right before saving.
Insert your signature into email templates
Your signature doesn't attach to your emails automatically. You add it as a smart field wherever you want it to appear, whether that's an email template or an email you're composing directly.
Open a Custom template, a Default template, or the email composer.
Click the Smart fields button in the editor toolbar.
Open the Brand category.
Select Email signature.
You can't insert the Email signature smart field from inside the signature editor itself. That editor doesn't include smart fields, templates, or project links. Add the signature smart field while you're editing an email template or composing an email, not while editing the signature.
FAQ
Why isn't my signature showing up at the bottom of my emails?
Your signature doesn't get added automatically. You need to insert the Email signature smart field into each email template (or into the composer) under Smart fields ➔ Brand ➔ Email signature.
Can each team member have their own signature?
No. Your signature is set at the workspace level, so there's one signature that applies across your entire workspace. Configure it from Settings ➔ Emails.
If you need team members to have their own signature, consider duplicating frequently used email templates and manually adding a team member's unique email signature to that copy instead of using the email signature smart field. Team members can also add their own signature manually when sending.
Can I paste in HTML for my signature?
Yes. Click the Toggle HTML view button (the < > icon) in the signature editor, paste your HTML, toggle back to the visual editor, then click Save.
