In the mobile app, you can use a project’s invoices tab to apply and edit payment plans - no need to log into Dubsado’s desktop site!

To get started, select an invoice from the Invoices tab of a project.

Invoice payment plan

When viewing an individual invoice, tap Payment plan to view and edit that invoice’s payment plan information.

If no payment plan has been applied:

  • Tap +Add payment plan to either choose an existing payment plan template, or create a new payment plan.

  • To choose an existing payment plan, tap Select payment plan and a list of your existing payment plan templates will roll up from the bottom of your screen. Tap your desired payment plan from the list to apply it, and make sure to tap Save at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

  • You can also tap +Add installment if you’d like to create a payment plan from scratch. After you’ve added a new installment, tap anywhere on the installment to edit the installment. Or, tap the three dots icon and select Edit.

Mirroring Dubsado’s desktop site, you can choose a relative due date, fixed due date, or set the due date to TBD. For the payment amount, you can set an installment to evenly divide the total amongst the existing installments by selecting divide equally, set a percentage amount by choosing percentage, or set a fixed amount by choosing fixed.

See our article on payment plans for more details.

If a payment plan has been applied:

  • Tap Edit to edit the existing payment plan.

  • Each installment’s status will be listed on the righthand side of the screen. Installments can be listed as:

    • Unpaid: no payments have been applied towards this installment.

    • In progress: at least one payment has been applied to towards this installment, but the installment is not paid in full.

    • Overdue: the installment has gone unpaid or partially paid past its due date.

    • Paid: the installment’s remainder equals $0.

  • Tap View all reminders to view the payment plan reminders associated with each installment

You won’t be able to add or edit payment plan reminders using the Dubsado mobile app. Similarly, your payment plan’s autopay setting and status will be displayed, but you won’t be able to edit it.

Log in to Dubsado’s desktop site to add or make changes to your payment plan reminders, or to update the autopay setting for a client’s payment plan.
