Attach an external file, like a PDF, image, or spreadsheet, to an email you send to a client from Dubsado.
Attach a file to an email
Navigate to the Messages page, or open a project and click its Messages tab. From either location, you can compose a new email or reply to an existing message, and attachments work in both.
Click Compose to start a new email, or open an existing message and click Reply.
Click the paperclip icon in the email composer toolbar.
Select the file you want to attach.
Repeat to add more files. Each file you select adds to your attachment list. It does not replace the file you already added.
Every file you attach appears in a list below the email body, and you can remove any of them individually before sending.
Each attached file must be under 10 MB.
Supported file types
You can attach images, PDFs, Word documents (.doc, .docx), Excel spreadsheets (.xls, .xlsx), plain text files (.txt), and CSV files (.csv).
When attachments aren't available
The attachment option isn't available in every part of Dubsado where you send email. Here's where you won't find it:
Bulk emails: You can't attach a file when composing a bulk email to multiple contacts at once.
Flows: You can't attach a file to a Send Email action in a flow.
Email templates: You can't attach a file while building a custom template or editing a default template. Attachments are added per email, at the time you send it, and are not stored in the template itself.
Scheduling an email with attachments
If you attach a file to an email, you need to send it right away. You can't schedule it to send later. This applies whether you're composing a new email or replying to one.
Emails with attachments can't be scheduled. Remove the attachments to schedule the email, or send it immediately.

What's the maximum file size I can attach?
Each file must be under 10 MB. This limit applies to every connected email type.
Can I attach more than one file?
Yes. You can select multiple files at once, or add them one at a time. Each new selection adds to your attachment list instead of replacing it.
Can I attach a video?
No. Supported file types are images, PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, .txt files, and .csv files. To share a video, paste a link to the hosted video in your email body instead.
Why can't I attach a file to my flow's Send Email action, an email template, or a bulk email?
Attachments are only available on individual emails you compose, reply to, or send from the Messages page or a project's Messages tab. They aren't supported in flows, email templates, or bulk sends.
As an alternative, you can upload your attachment to a service like Google Drive or Dropbox and include the link to that file in your flow email, email template, or bulk action email if needed.
