Upload a custom banner image for all of your client portals, or set a personalized banner for a specific client that overrides the default.
Upload a default portal banner
Your default portal banner applies to every client portal unless you set a client-specific banner to override it for an individual client.
Create a banner image sized 1800 x 200 pixels and save it to your computer.
Navigate to Settings ➔ Client portal.
In the Banner & Colors card, find the Full-width banner (1800 x 200) field.
Drag and drop your image onto the field, or click it to select an image from your computer. This uploader accepts images up to 8MB.
Once uploaded, your banner replaces the flat banner color, and it resizes responsively as your client's screen size changes.
The Banner & Colors card also includes Banner color and Banner font color controls: the banner color shows behind the welcome message when no image is uploaded, and the font color controls that welcome message text. These settings apply to every client's portal, so they're a good starting point when customizing your client portal to match your own look and feel.
The default banner applies to every client portal. To override it for one client, set a client-specific banner instead (see below).
Mobile device portal banner
You can add a separate banner formatted for small screens. In the same Banner & Colors card, find the Mobile banner (700 x 400) field, and drag and drop or click to upload an image sized 700 x 400 pixels. This banner displays on devices smaller than 768 pixels, in place of the full-width banner. Like the full-width banner, it has an 8MB upload limit.
Upload a client-specific portal banner
A client-specific banner overrides the default banner for that one client's portal. You can add it from either the contact's or the project's overview page since both link to the same Portal card.
Open the contact or project you want to set a portal banner for.
From a contact: open the contact and find the Portal card in the Details tab or sidebar.
From a project: open the project and find the Portal card in the Details tab or sidebar.
In the Portal card, find the Banner image field.
Drag and drop an image onto the field, or click it to upload one. Images wider than 1500 pixels work best, and the uploader accepts images up to 8MB.
To replace or remove the image later, hover over it and click Upload or Remove.
A client-specific banner replaces the default banner only for that client's portal. Other clients still see the default.
Client-specific portals use a single banner image. The mobile banner is only available on the default, workspace-wide setting.
FAQ
I used the recommended dimensions, but my banner looks blurry or cut off.
Different screen sizes display client portals differently. As the screen gets smaller, the banner image stays anchored to the left, so the right side cuts off first. Try scaling up your banner image, for instance using 2700 x 300 instead of 1800 x 200.
Can I upload a portal banner for a specific project?
No. Client portals are tied to a client, not to individual projects. Each client has a single portal that covers all of their projects. You can set a client-specific banner, but not a project-specific one.
Why isn't my banner image uploading?
This is most likely an issue with your browser or a browser extension. Try uploading the image in an incognito window or with a different browser.
