Want to link to a web page outside of Dubsado? We've got options! All of these options are available whether you're creating a canned email template or writing a new email from scratch.

This article is not about inserting a link to a Dubsado form, contract, invoice, or scheduler into your emails. For information on inserting the above links, read up on smart field links. Only use hyperlinks to link to pages outside of Dubsado.

Text hyperlink

Insert a regular link in the text of your email.

To create a text hyperlink:

  1. Highlight the text you want to link.

  2. Click the A icon in the toolbar.

  3. Click the link icon.

  4. Select Link.

  5. Paste the URL.

  6. Click Insert.

Button hyperlink

Insert a link as a button in your email, similar to the buttons generated by smart field links! The button is always centered and colored based on your brand color from Settings >> Branding.

To insert a button hyperlink:

  1. Create a new line in your email where you'd like to add the button.

  2. Click the A icon in the toolbar.

  3. Click the link icon.

  4. Select Button.

  5. Paste the URL.

  6. Enter the text of the button.

  7. Click Insert.

Image hyperlink

Makes an image clickable to an external page! Please keep in mind that all images must be under 10 MB.

To create an image hyperlink:

  1. Create a new line in your email where you'd like to add the image.

  2. Click the A icon in the toolbar.

  3. Click the image icon.

  4. Add an image under 10 MB.

  5. Select your image. A mini toolbar appears.

  6. Click the link icon in the mini toolbar.

  7. Paste the URL.

  8. Click Update.

Since it's not possible to embed videos in your emails, use this method to make it look like you have a video in your email! Take a screenshot that looks like a video thumbnail with a play button and link the image to your video wherever it's hosted.

Edit and remove hyperlinks

Click on the hyperlinked text, button, or image. A mini toolbar will appear allowing you to edit the URL or switch between a text or button link!
