If you're sending a Dubsado form, invoice or scheduler, you'll need a smart field link in your canned email template. But, how about linking to a web page outside of Dubsado? We've got options! All of these options are available whether you're creating a canned email or writing a new email from scratch.
Heads up! This is NOT how to insert a link to a Dubsado form, contract, invoice, or scheduler into your canned emails! Read up on smart field links and only use hyperlinks to link to pages outside of Dubsado.

Text Hyperlink
This is the simplest way to insert a link in an email! Here's how:
Highlight the text you want to link.
Click the "A" icon in the toolbar to open the formatting options.
Click the link icon.
Choose Link.
Paste in the URL to the web page you'd like to link to.
Click Insert.
And there you have it! A text link in your email. You can highlight the text again and open the formatting options (the "A" icon) to style the link further.
Button Hyperlink
If you like the buttons that are automatically generated by the smart field links when you send a Dubsado form, invoice, or scheduler, you'll love creating your own! This method is almost the same as the text hyperlink:
Create a new line in your email where you'd like to insert your button.
Click the "A" icon in the toolbar to open the formatting options.
Click the link icon.
Choose Button.
Paste in the URL to the web page you'd like to link to.
Enter the text you'd like to appear on the button.
Click Insert.
The button will always be in your brand color, which is determined by your brand settings, and will always be centered.
If you'd like to change your button back to a text hyperlink, just click on it to bring up the mini link editing tool bar and click on the magic wand icon to change the format.
Image Hyperlink
Did you know you can turn images into clickable links too? Here's how:
Click the "A" icon in the toolbar to open the formatting options.
Click the image icon to insert an image.
Click to upload your image.
With the image selected, click the link icon in the mini toolbar that appears.
Paste in the URL to the web page you'd like to link to.
Click Insert.
Since it's not possible to embed videos in your emails, this method is perfect for making it look like you do have a video in your email! Just design an image or take a screenshot that looks like a video thumbnail with a play button and link to your video wherever it's hosted, like YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
Editing and Removing Hyperlinks
If you need to make changes to your hyperlinked text, button, or image, just click on it while you are editing the email. A mini toolbar will appear allowing you to:
Open the link for testing
Change a text link to a button or vice versa
Edit the link
Remove the link entirely
