I invited a team member but they didn't receive an email

What to do when a team member you invited never got the invitation email, including how to fix a wrong email address and how they can find the invite by logging in.

If you invited a team member but they haven't received the invitation email, don't worry. There are two quick ways to get them into your workspace.


Double-check the email address

Navigate to Settings ➔ Team members. Everyone you've invited appears in the team members table, and anyone who hasn't accepted yet shows a Pending invitation status in place of their name.

The Email column shows the address the invitation was sent to. Confirm it's spelled correctly and matches the email your team member actually uses.

If the address is wrong, open that row's action menu and choose Remove from team. There's no confirmation step, so the invitation is canceled immediately. Then invite them again with the correct email address.

Removing an invitation that hasn't been accepted yet only cancels it. It doesn't affect anything else on your workspace, so you can send a corrected invite right away.


Log in or sign up under the same email

A pending invitation is tied to the email address it was sent to, so your team member can find it by logging in or signing up under that same address, even if the invitation email itself never showed up.

If they already have a Dubsado account, ask them to log in. Once logged in, they'll see your workspace listed among their invites, and accepting it takes just a click.

If they don't have a Dubsado account yet, ask them to sign up for a free account using the exact same email address the invite was sent to. Once they're logged in, they can accept the invitation the same way.

Even if the invite landed in a spam or junk folder, or never arrived at all, logging in under the same email will surface it so your team member can accept it.
